Customized Remedies Tailoured Just For You
Compounded medications are created by combining individual ingredients in the exact strength and dosage form required by the patient and their own unique needs. We offer individualized dosing options for topical pain relief, dermatological and oral formulations that suit each patients' specific needs. Additionally, we provide tried and true therapies that are temporarily or permanently no longer available to Canadians.

Topical Pain Preparations
Our topical pain remedies are particularly useful in treating joint and muscle pain resulting from injury but they can also be helpful when used to treat arthritic joint conditions, migraines or various types of nerve pain like that which often occurs after suffering an outbreak of shingles (postherpetic neuralgia), or diabetic neuralgia.

The active ingredients used in the various topical formulations are available in oral dosage forms as well and generally have a long history of safety and efficacy.

Application
How to Use Your Topical Product
-
Apply a small amount to the affected area in the frequency recommended by your physician.
-
Rub/massage medication into the affected area gently. This will help the active ingredients to penetrate more deeply into tissues.
-
Be consistent with your application. For some individuals it can take up to a week to see full results.
-
Be careful not to apply on or near mucous membranes (eyes, lips, rectum or vagina).
-
Wash hands thoroughly when the application process has been completed.

PRECAUTIONS
-
Do not apply with other topical preparations without first consulting a healthcare professional.
-
Occasionally the active ingredients in these compounds can cause the skin to become more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure or wear protective clothing or sunblock if exposure is unavoidable.

SIDE EFFECTS
-
The most common side effects are itching, burning, redness or local irritation at the site of application. These generally subside with discontinuation of therapy and are generally related to individual patient's sensitivity to one or more of the active ingredients.
